Dust suppression in quarries: LC30R and Phoenix together
In the quarry, the Conrad LC30R and Phoenix cannons work in synergy to ensure complete dust control. The LC30R, with programmable automatic rotation up to 340° and integrated PLC, covers the main crushing and conveyor loading points.
The Phoenix, used as support, provides additional coverage and reaches areas not covered by the LC30R.
This combination reduces the dust raised during crushing operations and improves plant safety.

Our first job of 2022 took us to a quarry in Varese, where the need was to suppress the dust produced by the crushing and aggregate transport plant.
Although large, the quarry had very specific points where dust was produced, so the positioning of the LC30R cannon on a tower with programmable rotation ensured excellent coverage of the area and control of the dust coming out of thecrushing plant.
In addition, a Conrad Phoenix was used on another plant to reduce the dust of the falling material.
Unloading from the lorry with a telescopic handler: all Cannoni Conrad machines have fork pockets for lifting, even models fitted with a trolley.
Why suppressing dust in quarries is essential
Quarry dust is often made up of fine particles that may contain silica, posing risks to operators' respiratory health and to the surrounding environment.
In addition, dust can accumulate on machinery, compromising their efficiency and increasing maintenance costs.
Implementing misting systems such as LC30R and Phoenix helps not only to protect health, but also to ensure operational continuity and comply with current environmental regulations.
