Conrad LC30R and Phoenix at work in the quarry

In the quarry, the Conrad LC30R and Phoenix sprayers work together to effectively reduce crushing dust, utilising PLC rotation and automation to cover large areas of operation.

Integrated solution for quarries - Dust suppression

In the quarry, the Conrad LC30R and Phoenix sprayers act in synergy to ensure complete dust control. The LC30R, with programmable automatic rotation up to 340° and integrated PLC, covers the main crushing and loading points in conveyors  .

The Phoenix, used as a stand, offers additional coverage with a range of up to 20-35 m and allows you to reach areas not covered by the LC30R .

This combination significantly reduces dust uplift during crushing operations, improving plant safety.

The first job in 2022 saw us working at a quarry in Varese, the need was to abate the dust produced by the crushing and aggregate transport plant.

The quarry, although large in size, had specific powder production points so the positioning of the LC30R cannon on a tower with programmable rotation provided excellent coverage of the area to ensure the control of dust coming out of thecrushing plant.

In addition, a Conrad Phoenix was used on another plant to reduce the dust of the falling material.

Unloading from the truck with telescopic lifting gear, all Conrad Cannons are equipped with pockets for lifting with forks, even in the case of models equipped with a trolley.

Why dust abatement in the quarry is essential

Dust generated by quarries often consists of fine particles that may contain silica, posing a respiratory health risk to operators and affecting the surrounding environment.

In addition, dust can accumulate on machinerycompromising their efficiency and increasing maintenance costs.

Implementing spraying systems such as LC30R and Phoenix helps not only to protect health, but also to ensure business continuity and to comply with environmental regulations.

The C32 Fog Cannon in support of remediation work at railway construction sites

Demolition, site clearance and the removal of old railway infrastructure require particular attention to be paid to the management of dust released into the environment. For this reason, one of our clients, who specialises in railway construction projects, has chosen to expand its equipment fleet with a Cannoni-Conrad C32 mist cannon.
