The new line of Cannoni Conrad dust suppression cannons stems from an analysis of the market and of our customers’ needs, and from a realistic assessment of what our competitors offer.
Our range of dust suppression cannons is one of the most complete, but we keep expanding and refining it. In fact, we go from fully manual machines to fully automatic ones, with numerous options that increase performance and the level of control over the misting.
The new LC30R e LC50R were born from the need for a lean machine in the demolition sector.
Lean means easy to load and transport from one site to another and easy for every operator to use, with the right balance between manual settings and a PLC touch screen to activate and set automatic rotation.
Why use the PLC
Our experience leads us to fit PLCs on the vast majority of models, starting with the Conrad C32. The PLCs are rich in functions and programming, such as setting daily and weekly work-pause cycles.
These settings are superfluous in the demolition sector, where misting is often needed for just one day or a few days at most. For a job lasting one or two days, learning to use certain automatic functions on a dust suppression cannon may be unnecessary.
Another case where numerous automatic functions can prove difficult is the rental market: the rental company itself aims to rent out simple machines so that users do not run into difficulties and to keep operator training time to a minimum.
These considerations led us to design a machine freed from many automatic functions, while retaining the automatic function most valued in the demolition industry: rotation.
Rotation has been combined with an easy-to-understand interface, designed to show at a glance which function to set.
The result
The result is a pair of high-performance dust suppression cannons with automatic rotation, programmable settings and the option to add a radio remote control for operating the machine from up to 100 metres away.
LC30R has 30 nozzles and a 3 kW fan, and covers up to 2700 m²; LC50R has 45 nozzles and a 5 kW fan, and covers up to 7500 m².
Both are available on a tower, on a trailer with drawbar and stabiliser, or on a long trailer to carry the generator set.
These machines were due to be presented at the Ecomondo trade fair in Rimini, scheduled for 3 to 6 November 2020, but the Covid-19 emergency led us to present these dust suppression cannons early to customers in specific sectors, and they were met with great appreciation and satisfaction.
