Foundry dusts

In foundries, atomisation with high-pressure cannons reduces fine dust and metal fumes, improving working conditions and safety in industrial environments.

Conrad MIST fixed system

In the province of Cuneo, a curtain spray system was installed on a tensile structure positioned to shelter the foundry waste storage bays.

Here, during loading and unloading, very fine dust rises, generating impalpable black clouds.

The system with steel pipes and nozzles has been placed on the long side to create a barrier of finely atomised water, hindering the escape of dust.

The balance between the pump and nozzles achieves a balance between atomisation and reduced water wastage. The atomisation is such that the area is moistened without creating puddles on the ground.

The purpose of the high-pressure pump and the aerosol generated is precisely to intercept the dust, without burdening the soil with excess water ... the resulting sludge would be additional waste to be managed.

anti-ice kit

Curtain spray systems must be protected against frost, because if the temperature drops below zero, the residual water in the system would damage the structure, necessitating extensive repair work. For this reason, this system is equipped with an anti-ice kit which, by means of an external probe, activates the motor-compressor to completely empty the entire misting line, thus eliminating the risk of damage to the system.

insulated cabin

After solving the ice problem, we set up an insulated cabin to protect the core of the system: the pump. Therefore we set up an insulated cabin with pump, anti-ice cabinet and compressor. This allows the operator safe access to control and manage the system, protected from the weather and the passage of other vehicles.

Our prefabricated structure is composed of sandwich panels that guarantee perfect insulation and protection from climatic agents. It is composed of:

-blind door 79×208 cm with wasistas window

-floor

-point light

-watertight circuit breaker panel

-dimensions 128x243x248 h cm outside - 220 h cm useful

-it can be forklifted

The C32 Fog Cannon in support of remediation work at railway construction sites

Demolition, site clearance and the removal of old railway infrastructure require particular attention to be paid to the management of dust released into the environment. For this reason, one of our clients, who specialises in railway construction projects, has chosen to expand its equipment fleet with a Cannoni-Conrad C32 mist cannon.
