Targeted misting on the material loading area
The Conrad Phoenix in “Bikini” configuration is ideal for material loading areas, where handling generates fine dust. Thanks to the programmable rotation and fine misting, the system creates a curtain of mist that retains suspended particles, suppressing dust and limiting its spread into the environment.
At the Cuneo composting site, we installed a dust suppression cannon in the material loading area.
The model chosen is the Conrad Phoenix with programmable rotation in the “Bikini” configuration. “Bikini” means that the cannon and its slewing ring were installed at height, in this case on a 7-metre pillar; the rest of the system, namely the PLC and pump, was installed at ground level, inside an insulated cabinet to be precise, to keep the components sheltered from the weather and outside the vehicle movement area.
The system has been programmed to trigger the cannon via a sensor when the loader passes near the ramp.
In this way, while the material is unloaded into the trailers, the cannon can reach the area where the dust is generated with its misting.
