In the province of Rome we installed the Conrad C42 cannon in the Bikini version, i.e. split into two parts:
TOP: the cannon installed at height with its bracket and slewing ring; BOTTOM: on the ground, in a position accessible to the operator, the control unit with electrical control panel with PLC, Industry 4.0 kit, high-pressure pump, filtration system and metering pump to feed the odour-control product into the cannon together with the water.
In this installation the part on top was custom-built to be fixed 'chandelier-style' to the slope of a roof truss. The bracket was therefore purpose-designed for the angle provided by the customer during the site inspection.
The cannon's job is to treat the waste area under the canopy.
The chosen cannon has all the automatic functions and can be fully controlled from the PLC on site, the radio remote control or the office computer. Here are just some of the functions that can be controlled:
- manage and programme rotation from 0° to 340°;
- the cannon can be tilted vertically from -20° to +45°;
- select the operating nozzles;
- scheduling of daily and weekly work cycles.
In addition, this system was fitted with the Industry 4.0 device for the Ecological Transition.
The installation was carried out by our personnel trained for work at height.
The work was carried out by two technicians in one day.
The equipment was commissioned and tested, also in windy conditions.
The video below shows the different stages of use of the cannon during operations: the wood waste is moved with an orange-peel grab and fed into the shredder, then the shredded material is carried by conveyor belts and discharged onto the side pile.
