Fixed curtain misting system
In the province of Cuneo, a curtain misting system was installed on a tensile structure positioned to shelter the foundry's waste storage bays.
Here, during loading and unloading, very fine dust rises, generating impalpable black clouds.

The system with steel pipes and nozzles has been placed on the long side to create a barrier of finely atomised water, hindering the escape of dust.
The balance between pump and nozzles strikes the right equilibrium between misting and reduced water wastage. The misting is such that the area is moistened without creating puddles on the ground.
The high-pressure pump and the aerosol it generates are designed precisely to capture the dust without soaking the ground with excess water: the resulting mud would be yet another waste to manage.
Anti-freeze kit
Curtain misting systems must be protected from frost, because if the temperature drops below zero, the water left in the system would damage the structure and require a costly repair. For this reason, this system is fitted with an anti-freeze kit which, by means of an external sensor, activates the compressor unit to empty the entire misting line completely, eliminating the risk of damage to the system.
Insulated cabin
Having solved the ice problem, we set up an insulated cabin to protect the heart of the system: the pump. The cabin houses the pump, the anti-freeze control panel and the compressor. This way the operator can access it in complete safety to check and manage the system, sheltered from the weather and from passing vehicles.

Our prefabricated structure is made of sandwich panels that ensure perfect insulation and protection from the weather. It includes:
-solid door 79×208 cm with tilt-in window
-floor
-lighting point
-watertight control panel with circuit breaker
-dimensions 128x243x248 cm external h – 220 cm usable h
-it can be forklifted
