Misting system on conveyor belts

At a waste recycling plant near Venice, the misting system with a high-pressure pump and nozzles on conveyor belts creates a fine mist that effectively reduces dust uplift during handling.

Advantages of misting on the conveyor belt

The application of misting directly on the tapes offers immediate benefits:

  • Significant dust reductionprotecting the health of staff

  • Improved visibilityreducing risks of accidents

  • Less cleaning and maintenancethanks to the containment of dust

  • Compliance with environmental regulationswithout excessive use of water

A precise, efficient and sustainable system for those working in the recycling industry.

In this waste recycling plant located in the Venice area, we supplied a spraying system that was placed on a conveyor belt at the base of a hopper. The loader empties the material into the hopper and the conveyor belt transports the waste to the upper area where sorting takes place. To reduce dust in the inner area where the sorting and sorting operation takes place, a misting line was installed at the belt inlet to moisten the material.

The atomisation is carried out by a high-pressure pump and nozzles capable of creating an impalpable cloud of water, containing dust and in many cases also the smell.

In the video below you can clearly see the action performed by our high-pressure atomising system.
